Litany of Hope at Easter

By Sr Teresa

I am a pilgrim of Hope when I :

  • Pray for the world in war-torn places

  • Reach out to someone in pain

  • Enter into someone’s story with compassion

  • show love and care for the lonely

  • listen with feeling to someone’s need

  • spend time with one struggling with life’s demands

  • share my goods with one who has little

  • visit the sick or forgotten

  • encourage efforts that make the world a better place

  • appreciate  nature and God’s creation in bird’s song, flowers blooming and the changes in the seasons

  • console and pray with those who mourn

  • share a smile with those I meet along the way

  • am hospitable and gracious to those who offer a service

  • am open to change and new ideas

  • accepting of help when others show kindness

  • am forgiving when hurt or ignored

  • appreciate loyalty and concern

  • look for the positive in others actions

  • refuse to judge harshly
