School raises funds to help children in Bethlehem
By Sr Susan Richert
Nearly £1000 has been raised by the children and staff of St. Joseph’s Primary school in Shirebrook to support the Lifegate Early Childhood and Development Centre in Bethlehem, which helps disabled children and youth.
They collected the money through a range of activities such as their Christmas fayre, carol singing, nativity and performances.
The headmistress, Mrs Dani Seaman, said that the children had been fantastic in their enthusiasm for raising funds for the Centre and spreading Christmas cheer through their performances.
The two schools hope to contact each other in the new year.
